In November 2006, gaming industry giants found they had a problem on their hands when Epic Games began to design and develop new games to rival even Resident Evil 4. The 3 Epic Edition, which was released by Microsoft Game Studios and is the latest in the Gears of War series, placed the Xbox 360 at the top of the list for gaming consoles and cost over ten million dollars to develop. The game is acclaimed by both critics and players alike for its impressive game development and amazing graphics. Games of War 1, the first in this epic series, was launched in 2006; Gears of War 3 Epic Edition, is set to launch in September 2011. Gears of War 3 is set after the downfall of Jacinto and begins with the Gears or soldiers, travelling to Vectes on the aircraft Raven’s Nest. Loosely based on the plot of Karen Traviss, the science fiction story, this edition will answer many of the unresolved questions and plot holes of the first two games.
